Former IRS Agent

Alysia has held positions with the Federal Government in The Department of Treasury (IRS) and The Department of Defense (Academic and Military Projects Army/Navy) along with global corporations in her early work as an Agent, Accountant and Analyst. She was a Revenue Agent.

Her combined 18 years of government service, corporate accounting and individual business consulting define her as a leader. She has extensive experience with income tax preparation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, non-profits, estates and trusts, foreign expats, start-ups and community property.

She is a leader, demonstrating a rich knowledge in finance and accounting concepts/principles. Speaking to her character for authenticity she works with diverse groups of clients and companies. Her strategic goals are to align with business needs and targeted business solutions. Importantly she champions and commands strong advocacy of knowledge sharing and teams.

She also has a rich knowledge of the IRS being a former IRS Agent and knows the in’s and out of the IRS system

Certified Public Accountant, Controller to Dahir Tax & Accounting Firm. Outsources as CFO and is the owner of his own accounting and tax firm. Curtis Robertson likes helping people get organized, creating savings by implementing efficient processes, and optimizing the use of financial resources.

Besides being a QuickBooks Pro Advisor, he is also experienced with SAP, Lacerte, Appfolio, Yardi, CYMA and several other accounting software solutions.

Curtis draws on his Big 4 experience, over 18 years in practice including five years of independent tax preparation and consulting experience with both individual and business reporting. He managed a portfolio of 200+ business and individual tax returns.

In his personal time he delights in working with his children to develop their talents in sports and music. To be an influential part of his children’s learning experiences he coaches many of their teams from which he derives a lot of personal fulfillment. Similarly, he seeks opportunities to coach his clients to be more successful not just by serving them, but also by training them to better utilize the systems and tools they already have and save the cost of paying others to do it for them.

Advisor

Tim is an Advisor at Dahir Tax & Accounting Firm. Currently he is an area manager with Cornerstone Estate Plans, the Executive Director of Genesis Housing Services, a non-profit counseling organization and the CFO and an instructor for Advancing Achievers Technology & Cyber Security University.

Tim coaches CPAs to become leaders while using his rich knowledge in finance and accounting concepts/principles.

He is also a published author of two books; the first, “Life Income: Growing, Protecting and Preserving Your Wealth” and the second, “The 7 Critical Steps to Financial Stability, Moving From Financial Crisis to Financial Stability In Your Life.” Here he challenges the traditional advice given in both business and personal finances. Tim worked in the clinical setting for many years working with families where abuse had taken place. At that time the medical insurance industry was going through significant changes and he left the clinical setting, entered into the financial industry in 1984 allowing him to use both his clinical skills, caring for people, and helping businesses and individuals save on taxes and manage their money.

Tim grew up in San Luis Obispo, California and at the age 18 left home to play and teach tennis (now coaches and plays pickleball). After several years, he returned to college, completing his undergraduate work at BIOLA University in Southern California. He finished with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the International College of Los Angeles.

Office Manager

Mirelle Wright is the Office Manager with Dahir Tax & Accounting Firm. Prior to joining the Firm, she was a Paralegal with Pew Law Center and program specialist advisor at Maricopa Community Colleges.

During her time working with the Mesa Community College Red Mountain Strategic Planning Committee, she assisted in developing the strategic plan for the next 5 and 10 years. Her strengths are in coordinating and researching the environmental, technological, social, political/legal, and global factors, the demographics, and she is currently coordinating the planning of focus groups.

What’s personal to Mirelle is her passion to help domestic violence survivors and educate people on the impacts of PTSD. Her dog Sadie is her emotional support animal and a saving grace.

Sr. Staff Accountant

I am highly specialized in forensic accounting paying close attention to details making accurate assessments of the accounts involved. I now have 40 years of experience in every aspect of accounting with a multitude of industries. Some of the industries include manufacturing, construction and petroleum exploration & production. I designed, created and implemented an entire database while maintaining daily operations for an emission testing company.

By converting data from outdated systems, I was able to streamline the data into useful information helping upper management to make informed decisions. Special projects have included analyzing IRS (Internal Revenue Service) correspondence providing the required documents during 3 corporate tax audits also while maintaining daily operations. I received my degree in accounting and graduated with honors.

I began my accounting journey in high school so I learned manual accounting prior to learning computerized accounting. Glitches in computer programs are more easily recognized because of this. I have worked with Quickbooks for many of the years I’ve been in accounting and can recognize potential problems as they arise. I have taken additional classes to enhance my job performance such as the Microsoft office products. I have taken beginning, intermediate and advanced classes in Excel, Word and Access. I also took multiple accounting classes such as The Controllers Workshop, Payroll Basics and Notary Law.

I also went to chamber of commerce forums on employee benefits as I also handled the human resources portion of the company. I am a very analytical accountant troubleshooting when necessary. Because of my extensive experience in accounting, I can step in to any industry and solve many accounting issues helping to grow the company I’m working with. My analytical nature, work ethics and passion for numbers has kept me in accounting all these years. I enjoy hiking and paddleboarding with my grown son. I enjoy being with my 2 amazing adult children. My husband of 40 years and I spend as much time as we can with our 2 amazing granddaughters. Family will always come first.
